Precautions for Long-Term Storage of Wheel Loaders
Publication Date: 2023-09-06

Before Storage

1. Wash every part of the machine, dry it, and store it in a dry warehouse. If the vehicle can only be stored in the open, it should be parked on a concrete surface that drains easily and covered with canvas.

2. Before storage, fill the fuel tank with oil, add grease to each moving pin and transmission shaft, and replace the hydraulic oil.

3. Remove the battery from the machine and store it separately.
4. If the temperature is likely to drop below 0°C, add antifreeze to the engine and allow the antifreeze to reach the engine body and the evaporator of the air conditioning system. Or drain the water in the cooling system, and be sure to drain the water in the air conditioner as well.

Use the frame fixing locking rod to secure the front and rear frames.

In Storage

1. Start the machine once a month, run each system, and add grease to each moving pin and transmission shaft. This can lubricate each moving part and charge the battery at the same time.

2. Before starting the machine, wipe the grease off the hydraulic cylinder piston rod.
3. Apply anti-rust oil to areas prone to rust.

After Storage

1. Change engine, transmission, transaxle lubricating oil, as well as hydraulic oil and antifreeze.
2. Add grease to all motion pins and transmission shafts.
