On March 8, ten units of SANY SY335C excavators were successfully delivered to the Bishoftu International Airport project in Ethiopia and officially handed over to the project contractor.

Located in Bishoftu, Oromia Region, about 40 km from Addis Ababa, the new airport is a key infrastructure project with a total investment of approximately USD 12.5 billion. Once completed, it is set to become the largest aviation hub in Africa. The first phase alone involves around 320 million cubic meters of earthwork, with an investment of about USD 600 million.

A total of 50 SANY machines will be deployed for this project. The first batch of 10 SY335C excavators has already been put into operation, delivering strong and reliable performance in earthmoving works. The remaining 20 excavators and 20 units of concrete equipment are being transported to the site and will be delivered in phases to ensure continuous project progress.

The SANY Ethiopia team stated that, supported by a localized service network and professional technical team, they will provide 24/7 and full lifecycle service support, ensuring efficient equipment operation and contributing to the successful construction of this landmark project.
